The app requires you to sign in using Apple or Google to access its features. When you sign in, we collect:
- Account identifier: A unique ID from your Apple or Google account

This information is used solely to identify your account and enable cloud sync features. We do not share this information with third parties for marketing purposes.
How the App Works
When you use Kitchen Sink Recipe Builder:
- Recipe requests: The cooking situation you describe is sent to our servers to generate recipe suggestions using AI (Google Gemini). This data is processed in real-time and is not stored or logged.
- Saved recipes: Recipes you save are stored in iCloud and synced across your devices using your Apple ID.
- Photos: You can attach up to 5 photos to your saved recipes. These photos are stored in iCloud alongside your recipes.
- Recipe sharing: When you share a recipe, it is uploaded to our servers and accessible via a unique link. Shared recipes may include your display name as the author.
- Settings: Your preferences (dark mode, metric units) are stored locally on your device.
Data Storage
Your data is stored in the following locations:
- iCloud: Saved recipes and photos are synced via iCloud using your Apple ID. This data is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Firebase: Account information and shared recipes are stored on Firebase servers. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Local device: App settings and preferences are stored locally on your device.
Third-Party Services
The app uses the following third-party services:
- Sign in with Apple: For authentication. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Google Sign-In: For authentication. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Gemini AI: To generate recipe suggestions. Recipe requests are processed by Google's AI services.
- Firebase: For authentication, database, and cloud storage services.
- iCloud: For syncing saved recipes and photos across your devices.
Analytics and Tracking
We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Data Retention and Deletion
You can delete your saved recipes at any time within the app. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at the email below. Shared recipes will remain accessible via their links unless you request their removal.
Children's Privacy
The app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
